Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. (Kiyosu,Japan) will exhibit at the "Automotive Engineering Exposition 2024"
held at PACIFICO Yokohama (Yokohama City) for three days from May 22nd.
The exposition is organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan, Inc.(JSAE)
We will display products and technologies that respond to changes in mobility and decarbonization.

As part of our response to new mobility trends, we will display a concept car equipped with our technologies that contribute to safety, security, and
comfort in a compact BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) and a "high-pressure hydrogen tank" for FCEVs (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles).
Additionally, in our efforts to address decarbonization, we will introduce our recycling technology for plastics collected
from end-of-life vehicles.

1.Responses to New Mobility

1-1. "Flesby BEV Concept"
This concept consolidates functions such as acceleration and braking into the steering wheel, integrates airbags with seat belts,
and achieves a spacious cockpit space.

1-2. "Front Seat Center Airbag" (First Exhibit)
Located on the seat side of the driver's seat (vehicle center side), it prevents occupants from slipping out of the seatbelt and hitting
the door or other parts of the vehicle during a side collision, as well as reduces the impact when occupants collide with each other.

1-3. "High-pressure Hydrogen Tank"
One of the key components for FCEVs. It compresses hydrogen at high pressure (about 700 bar) for efficient storage.
Its application in various mobility solutions, including trucks and ships, is expanding.

2. Responses to Decarbonization

2-1. "Recycled Plastics from End-of-life Vehicles (Interior/Exterior Parts)" (First Exhibit)
This is a material technology that reuses plastic parts (derived from petroleum) from end-of-life vehicles for new cars,
aiming for CO2 reduction from material procurement to recycling and disposal of automotive parts. With our unique technology,
we have achieved physical properties and low odor levels equivalent to new materials.

3. Life Solution Business's Exhibits

3-1. "High-Power UV-C LED Package" (First Exhibit)
Toyoda Gosei developed UV-C LEDs that achieve light output at the level of 200 milliwatts with a single chip
when driven by a current of 350 milliamperes, which is the highest level in the world*.
The application area of UV-C LEDs is expanding, including the potential replacement of mercury lamps in the future, and
is expected to contribute to a more hygienic and safer living.
*As of the end of March 2024, according to our research

3-2. "GaN Power Semiconductor"
Using GaN crystal growth technology, Toyoda Gosei is promoting the development of next-generation power semiconductors that
can efficiently control large power. It is expected to be utilized in BEVs and charging stations in the future.
